Hannah Brown Named Program Director of Ele’s Place Ann Arbor
The Ele’s Place Ann Arbor Team is incredibly pleased to announce that Hannah Brown, LMSW, has been named the Program Director at Ele’s Place Ann Arbor. Hannah joined the organization as a Bereavement Coordinator in 2013, and from September through November 2021, served as the Associate Program Director.
Hannah began her professional career in child care environments where she developed an appreciation for working with children, families and strong teams. Those experiences led her to pursue studies in social work, followed by several years working with families and children at nonprofit organizations including, Interfaith Hospitality Network at Alpha House, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Washtenaw County, Ann Arbor Public Schools School-Aged Child Care program and Americorps, prior to joining Ele’s Place Ann Arbor.
Hannah resides in her home town of Ann Arbor with her husband and three children. She earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from University of Michigan, and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University. Hannah holds a Clinical License in Social Work, an additional certification in School Social Work, and is trained in art therapy.
As we welcome Hannah into her new role as Program Director, we also bid a bittersweet farewell to Peggy Galimberti, LMSW, ACSW, who has served Ele’s Place Ann Arbor since 2012. Peggy has accepted a position with another local nonprofit, and is excited to transition back into direct clinical work with young adult clients. We’ve all benefited from, and are incredibly thankful for, Peggy’s leadership and continuous commitment to grieving children, teens and their families. We wish Peggy well in her new endeavor, and know she will remain a forever friend to Ele’s Place Ann Arbor.
The Ele’s Place Ann Arbor Team is committed to our mission, and dedicated to our grieving children, teens and their families, AND we’re honored to be back in-person at our Home for Healing Hearts. We are grateful to have such amazing depth internally to fill this leadership role, and look forward to continuing to create a welcoming, healing space for grieving children, teens and their families in Ann Arbor, and the surrounding southeast Michigan area, FREE OF CHARGE, for as long as they need.
