Boys Basketball: Skyline ready to get back on the court after extended quarantine
The Skyline boys’ basketball team is anxious to get back onto the court. And it looks like (fingers crossed) they will get that chance this week.
After serving an original quarantine through Tuesday, Feb. 23, the Eagles were getting ready to play on Wednesday, Feb. 24 against Lincoln when they were sidelined again.
“Our situation was re-evaluated by the health department and we were put on extended quarantine through Saturday, Feb. 27,” said Skyline Coach Mike Lovelace. “We were not allowed to practice or play games during that extended time.”
The Eagles, who were originally quarantined after playing a game against Huron which recorded a positive COVID test, had their first basketball activity (practice) on Sunday, Feb. 27 at Pioneer.
Skyline is scheduled to play three games this week: Tuesday at home vs. Saline; Thursday at Dearborn Diving Child; and Saturday at Bedford.
