It’s what you might expect from a school whose mission is to provide an environment where students, staff, and the community are actively engaged in project-based learning through a student-centered, approach with real-world applications.
And the A2 STEAM EXPO 2022 delivered.
“.EXPO is all about community,” said Nathan Hatt, A2 STEAM’s of Project-Based Learning. “Through project based learning, students are encouraged to see the value of their thinking, learning, and interactions. EXPO brings it all together.”
Hatt explained that due to the pandemic, STEAM has been unable to hold an EXPO since fall 2019, so for many students, and some teachers, Autumn EXPO 2022 was the first time coming together to present our public products and share our learning with the community.
This year, in order to take advantage of larger school spaces and help prevent the spread of communicable diseases, EXPO was organized by grade level and held on three evenings, with the Upper Elementary EXPO concluding the event Dec. 15.
