Openings for Buhr Park Pool and livery river day camps available for scholarship recipients
Some spots remain open for children to attend the Buhr Pool Park Day Camp, Argo Livery River Camp and Gallup Livery River Camp this summer if they meet the qualifications for the Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation Scholarship Program. The fund provides city residents access to Ann Arbor park facilities and programs regardless of economic situation. The scholarship program provides income-eligible families exposure to positive experiences, active lifestyles and mentors, as well as opportunities to gain and refine life skills and to develop positive personal and social attributes.

Make a tee time and enjoy the great weather this weekend
Take advantage of this weekend’s beautiful weather, and reserve a tee time at Leslie Park Golf Course, 734.794.6245. Carts are available, and the clubhouse is open (with limited capacity).
Huron Hills Golf Course (HHGC) is open, but with limited play. Due to an ongoing construction project, you can play 11 holes at this time. Call 734.794.6246 for a tee time.
Please remember masks are required in and around the clubhouses, and we ask that you continue to remain 6 feet apart from others outside your household.
Problem-solving participants sought
A group of master’s students at the University of Michigan School of Information are working as consultants with Ann Arbor Parks & Recreation to improve the way people locate the city’s parks. You can help further their research by participating in a problem-solving exercise in which you respond to a series of written scenarios related to navigating to parks, and then email your responses. These prompts will take 15-30 minutes to complete. Your insights will help create a better park experience for everyone!
Participants will be entered into a drawing for a $50 prepaid debit card. Responses will be collected between Monday, April 12, and Wednesday, April 14. To participate in the problem-solving exercise, visit

Ann Arbor Farmers Market
The Ann Arbor Farmers Market is open for onsite sales Saturday, April 10, 8 a.m.-3 p.m., located at 315 Detroit St. You will find plants, apples, apple cider, lettuce, microgreens, salad mix, carrots, radishes, cabbage, kale, chard, onions, garlic, herbs, poultry, eggs, meat, cheese, bread, pastries, baked goods, coffee, olive oil, Polish food, Mediterranean food, pasties, goat products, candles, jewelry, masks, body care products, art and more! Preordering from select vendors continues with curbside or walk-in pickup, 8 a.m.-noon. For preorders, contact the vendor directly from our directory. We are accepting cash, and tokens for credit cards and SNAP/EBT/P-EBT are available at our market office window. While shopping and picking up preorders, please follow all physical distancing and safety guidelines posted and communicated by market staff. Thursday, April 15, 7-9 p.m. Volunteer to help us with Ann Arbor’s breeding bird survey. Learn how we use eBird to record survey results, sign up to survey your favorite park, hear about last year’s survey and access survey materials. Experience in bird identification is necessary, and you must be able to identify birds by ear and eye. This program is a virtual event hosted on Zoom. Please register by April 13. Saturday, April 17, 9 a.m.-noon, Berkshire Creek Nature Area. Join staff at Berkshire Creek Nature Area to celebrate spring and protect this part of the Huron River system by removing non-native plants. Preregistration online is required. Participants must wear a mask and maintain 6 feet of distance from others at all times. Please wear long pants, closed-toed shoes and gardening gloves. All minors should be accompanied by a guardian. Tools and know-how provided. Meeting location will be provided at registration.
