Water Polo: Skyline scores impressive win over Huron

For the second straight week, the Skyline water polo team had a full schedule. On Tuesday, the Eagles took on Huron at the River Rats home turf and then on Wednesday faced a rematch of Birmingham Seaholm.

The varsity team came away with a strong 7-1 win over the River Rats.  

Senior captain Atticus Dewey led the charge with 5 goals, while senior captain Noah Boucher and sophomore Evan McKelvey each added 1 goal. 

Junior John Evangelista and sophomore Evan McKelvey looked strong on defense. Evangelista had 3 steals and 2 assists and McKelvey had 1 steal and 3 assists. Sophomore Ben Deininger and captain senior Noah Boucher both contributed with 1 steal each.

Senior captain Nicky Boucher led the defense with his powerful guarding of the goal and had 16 saves.

On Wednesday, the Eagles defeated visiting Birmingham Seaholm 9-8 in a hard fought game.

Dewey and Deininger each had 3 goals to lead the Skyline offense. Boucher contributed 2 goals and Evangelista added a goal.  

The Eagles are an impressive 11-6 against a tough schedule. The Districts Seed Tournament is Saturday at Saline.
