United Way of Washtenaw County Announces 2021 National Day of Action

United Way of Washtenaw County (UWWC) will be hosting its National Day of Action on Friday, June 18, 2021 and would like to invite Washtenaw County community members to participate.

Brought to you by United Way of Washtenaw County’s Volunteer Center and the Emerging Philanthropists, Day of Action is a day when UWWC asks you to help put its mission into action by improving the building blocks for a good quality of life through volunteering during their largest day of service.

In Washtenaw County, there are many opportunities on this day for community members to get involved and work to build a stronger community. Hundreds of volunteers throughout Washtenaw
County will serve in a variety of different projects in order to address many different local and community needs. This year, due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, there are additional opportunities
to volunteer virtually. UWWC has divided its 2021 Day of Action opportunities into four categories: hands-on volunteering, virtual skill-based volunteering, remote volunteering, and advocacy.

United Way of Washtenaw County hopes to involve as many volunteers as possible in order to produce the greatest positive impact on the community. Volunteer signup is open now, and there
are opportunities for companies, groups, and individuals to sign up to work together. Interested volunteers can sign up on United Way’s Volunteer Center website at volunteerwashtenaw.org.
