Two Concordia seniors to participate in inaugural NAIA Senior Football Classic
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Concordia University seniors Tarek Dalou (SR/Dearborn Heights, MI ) and Roderick Dailey (SR/Detroit, MI) will compete in the inaugural NAIA Senior Football Classic, slated for Saturday, December 14 in Savannah, Ga. The duo were named to the 58-player East roster, comprised of senior student-athletes across NAIA Football.
Dalou has been a constant in Coach Schumacher’s secondary unit recording 50 tackles in 2018. Dalou also intercepted two passes and broke up a team leading six while deflecting another eight. In 2018, the MSFA Mideast League recognized Dalou on the honorable mention team.
Dailey paced the receiving core last season with a team high 689 yards and six touchdowns. Offensive coordinator Andrew Rode was able to maximize Dailey’s versatility in several packages that led to 853 all-purpose yards. Last season, the MSFA Mideast League recognized Dailey as a member of the first team all-league.
The inaugural NAIA Senior Football Classic takes place one week before the NAIA Football National Championship, held this year in Ruston, La., on the campus of Grambling State University. The Cardinals kick off their 2019 campaign ranked No. 6 in the NAIA Preseason Coaches’ Poll, and opens on the road when they travel to Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday, Sept. 7.
