The Guild of Artists & Artisans’ Announces Grand Opening of Gutman Gallery
ANN ARBOR – The Guild of Artists & Artisans (The Guild), most well known for producing the Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair, announces a new endeavor; launching the Gutman Gallery, a fine art gallery and shop located in Downtown Ann Arbor ‐ February, 2020. The Guild invites the public to celebrate and experience the inaugural exhibition, Amor: Looking Through the Eyes of Love with a grand opening on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, from 6‐9pm. Visitors can shop for unique works of art featured in this month’s exhibition and in the Gallery Shop while enjoying light refreshments and sweets from several local partners including but not limited to: Sweet Heather Anne, Wingman Water, and Mighty Good Coffee. The event makes a perfect addition to your Valentine’s Day evening plans!
Named after Vic Gutman, the founding director of The Guild, Gutman Gallery was developed to align with The Guild’s mission to provide its members with marketing opportunities, which serve as educational, cultural and entertaining events for the community. Not only will Gutman Gallery be home to rotating art exhibitions and a gallery shop, but it will also be a space for the community to come together for workshops, classes and events celebrating the arts.

The gallery is located at 118 N 4th Ave in Ann Arbor. Gutman Gallery is an inclusive fine art space open to all regardless of gender, sexual orientation, religion, racial group, etc. The space will be open Tues. ‐ Fri. 11am‐5pm and Saturdays 9am‐4pm. With artists at the heart of everything that The Guild does, the Exhibition features artwork from Guild artist members as well as non‐members and is curated through jury selection. The gallery shop is only open to current Guild Artist members. Each offer an exceptional opportunity for artists as they have highly competitive commission rates, with artists receiving a higher percentage of their sales than seen in most comparable galleries and shops. Recent renovations to the space were made possible with support from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
