Tennis: Skyline honored with All-Academic award after netting impressive GPA

The Skyline boys’ tennis team had a great year on the court. And even better one off of it.

The Eagles earned the prestigious Michigan High School Coaches Association (MHSTECA) All-Academic team award for 2020. It is awarded based on a team’s Regional lineup with a 3.25 GPA or higher cumulatively.

Skyline’s 12-member team had an average of a 3.76 GPA.

“This is really impressive and something we are very proud of achieving,” said Skyline Coach Eric Sturgis.

Skyline seniors Sam Begosso 4.0 GPA, Michael Zhou 3.98, and Nikhil Gunaratnam 4.0, also earned individual All-Academic certificates.
