Tennis: Greenhills sweeps all eight flights at D-3 Regional
The Greenhills tennis team dominated the Division 3 Regional (20) on Thursday at Greenhills. As expected, the host Gryphons aced the Regional by taking first place in all eight events.
Detroit Country Day was runner-up in seven of the eight flights.
Mert Oral was first in one singles while his brother Kaan won at two singles. Rishi Verm was the winner in three singles and Chakor Rajendra won four singles.
The Greenhills one doubles team of Henry Branch, Sahil Deenadayalu; two doubles team of Joey Formicola, Daniel Stojanov; three doubles team of Nathan Rosenberg, Finn Feldeisen; and four doubles team of Alex Schwendeman, Thomas Zeng all took first for the Gryphons.
The D-3 state finals are Oct. 18-19 at Kalamazoo College.
