Swisher Commercial, Ann Arbor SPARK host city’s first Commercial Real Estate Trends Symposium
Swisher Commercial and Ann Arbor SPARK are proud to announce Ann Arbor’s first Commercial Real Estate Trends Symposium on Jan. 8, 2020, at the U-M Golf Course Clubhouse. The even will include a lively discussion on commercial real estate and economic trends in the Ann Arbor region. .
The program features a keynote presentation by Don Grimes, Regional Economic Specialist for the University of Michigan’s Research Seminar in Quantitative Economics. Swisher Commercial, author of the annual Ann Arbor Vacancy Report since 1993, will also discuss commercial real estate trends in the Ann Arbor region.
About the Ann Arbor Vacancy Report: The Swisher Commercial Ann Arbor Area Vacancy report has been issued since 1993 and marks the 27th annual survey of vacancy rates for office and flex space in the Ann Arbor area. Swisher brokers personally surveyed over 300 buildings of 5,000 square feet (sf) or larger, totaling over 12,000,000 sf. The report includes a breakdown of vacancy rates by sub-market and charts the vacancy trends over the last 27 years. We hope this report will help you better understand the current market and assist in planning your commercial real estate decisions.
About Donald R. Grimes: Grimes received his master’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan. His primary research interests are in labor economics and economic forecasting. For more than 30 years, he has been engaged in economic forecasting for state and local governments and is frequently called upon for policy advice. He has worked for many years with the Michigan departments of Transportation and Treasury and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation on policy analysis and evaluating economic strategies. He is co-director of a project to generate long-term economic and demographic projections for all of the counties of Michigan.
