Swimming: Skyline knocks off Dexter in SEC Red showdown
The Skyline swimming and diving team knocked off SEC Red rival Dexter 102-82 last Thursday.
Highlights for the high-flying Eagles included multiple top events, state qualifying, and season best finishes.
The 200-yard medley relay team of Shannon Lee, Sophia Nielsen, Allie Deininger, & Claire Kozma achieved all three benchmarks with a finishing time of (1:53.47). Lily Cleason followed suit in the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.43) and in the 500-yard freestyle (5:14.59).
Kozma improved her season finishing times in the 50-yard freestyle (24.67) and 100-yard butterfly (1:01.22). She also contributed to a state qualifying, season best, & top finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay team which included Lauren MacNeil, Lily Cleason, & Shannen Lee (3:46.99).
Lee posted her first win and state qualifying time of the season in the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.34).
The Eagles hope to make it three victories in row when they take on the Huron River Rats on Thursday.
