THIS THURSDAY
Bank of Ann Arbor’s 2019 Sonic Lunch concert series will come to a close on Thursday, August 29th with performances by headliner Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas and special guest Jacob Sigman.
Jessica and her band put on an absolutely thrilling show at Sonic Lunch in 2015 and we’re delighted to welcome her back again! A singer-songwriter with deep roots in the Motor City, her parents own Armando’s restaurant and the Mexicantown Bakery in southwest Detroit. Jessica and family lived above the restaurant before moving to West Bloomfield during her adolescence. These days Jessica lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their young daughter, with parenthood definitely inspiring her 2019 single “Baby.”
Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas have released two well-received albums, “Secret Evil” (2014) and “Telephone // Telephono” (2017), and their road travels include notable stops at the Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo Festivals.
With their captivating, high-energy stage presence, Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas are the perfect way to close out the 12th season of Sonic Lunch!
Opening the show at 11:30 a.m. will be the pop-soul singer-songwriter Jacob Sigman. Jacob grew up listening to Motown and the Beatles, and those influences can be clearly heard in his music. He is an expert craftsman of hummable tunes that will make you dance and make you relish these final days of summer.
