Sign of our times: Help celebrate Ann Arbor’s high school seniors

A group of local parents are collaborating to help high school seniors at all the Ann Arbor schools to show their pride – literally. The group has organized and designed a creative yard sign for seniors that helps celebrate these outstanding students during these difficult times and unfortunate circumstances.

And even though sports have been cancelled, music has been silenced and the curtain closed on plays – not to mention hundreds of other things – these seniors should be proud of all their accomplishments over the past four years.

“It’s a way to celebrate our seniors and to share our strengths, no matter what high school in Ann Arbor,” says Kristy Bajcz, one of the organizers. “We have had positive responses from local school officials who are assisting us in getting the word out.”

The signs, printed locally and at a great discount at Standard Printing in Ypsilanti, cost just $10 each and can be “personalized” for each student, including color in the cap and adding names and school name.

Any remaining funds will go to a local charity and will be reported back to the group.

“This is truly a community effort,” says Bajcz. “And if someone would like a sign and cannot afford it, please contact us.”

An  order form is available here. The group also is accepting donations.

We are all in this together. #AASeniorsStrong
