Real Estate: Strong Overall Condo Sales Help Offset Total Sales Being Down 2.9 percent
New single family listings decreased in July, with a 0.4% fall compared to this time last year. Along with the fall in single family listings, the average listing price decreased by 3.1%. The overall sales of single family listings decreased by 7.0% compared to 2018 at this time.
New condominium listings saw a 13.2% decrease despite condominium sales increasing by 15.2%. However, the average condominium list price fell by 6.2% and sales prices decreased 6.2% compared to that of 2018. During this past July, we saw 106 condominiums sell and a total of 476 residential sales.
Year-to-date, the total number of new residential listings compared to 2018 rose 2.2% and total residential sales decreased by 0.2% compared to 2018.
