Argo Livery to temporarily close during construction
The Argo Livery will be closed due to construction which will start the week of Sept. 20, 2021, and is expected to be complete early spring 2022. Improvements to the livery, 1055 Longshore Drive in Ann Arbor, are focused on improving accessibility with a goal of universal access for all users. Elements include new and improved accessible parking lot, walks, fishing dock, site furnishings and EZ launch kayak docks. The restrooms will also be renovated as part of the project. In order to improve site drainage, a raingarden is being installed to capture stormwater runoff.
During construction, the entire livery site will be closed to visitors. Signs and barricades will be installed to safely direct users away from the construction zone.
The city asks that users of the adjacent trail follow the posted detour as they ride, walk, rollerblade and commute along this path.
We thank you for your patience as we make these improvements to this important and popular part of the Ann Arbor park system.
Any questions can be directed to Landscape Architect/Park Planner Adam Fercho at afercho@a2gov.org. The city thanks trail users in advance for their patience. Please see the map for further site details: https://www.a2gov.org/departments/Parks-Recreation/parks-places/argo/Documents/Argo_Livery_Universal_Access_Detour_MAP.pdf (PDF). |
