Guild of Artists & Artisans’ Announces First Holiday Artist Market in Gutman Gallery

ANN ARBOR – The Guild of Artists & Artisans (The Guild) is excited to announce its first annual Holiday Artist Market in its Fine Art Gallery and shop, Gutman Gallery. The market runs November 4 – December 23 and highlights a wide variety of work from 50 jury-selected artists. Featuring all types of art including glass, jewelry, ceramics, printmaking, painting, leather, and more; the shop includes items at every price point with something for everyone on your holiday giving list!

Starting on Black Friday and running through Christmas Eve, the gallery will offer extended holiday hours and include festive shopping and gift making experiences in a safe and warm space. The Gutman Gallery will participate in downtown Ann Arbor’s Midnight Madness and Kerrytown Market’s Festive Fridays and will offer free gift wrapping for customers and be joined by the Saline Fiddler’s to fill the air with lovely holiday music each Friday. Friday and Saturdays, meet the artists as The Guild welcomes artists into the gallery for Artist Trunk Shows.

On Wednesday evenings, join The Guild online for the Art of Giving: Virtual Gift Making Workshop series to create handmade gifts for everyone on your shopping list! View the details of the Gutman Gallery’s extended hours, along with a complete list of holiday happenings below and on the gallery’s facebook/instagram pages @gutmangallery.

Since reopening this summer, The Guild has taken measures to create a safe and comfortable environment for its community of artists and art-lovers. Surfaces are wiped down regularly, touchless payments are an option for all transactions, capacity is limited to allow for social distancing and masks are required to be worn by employees and patrons while in the gallery (masks are available to patrons who do not have their own). Hand sanitizer, provided by Gutman Gallery partner, Mammoth Distilling is accessible at the entrance/exit, and in the gallery.

The Guild also offers patrons who do not wish to visit us in-person the opportunity to shop online at www.shopgutmangallery.com, where you can schedule curbside pick-up, or coordinate your own private shopping party for up to 10 guests! To schedule a private shopping experience, email Elizabeth Youngs at elizabeth@theguild.org.
