Golf: Skyline tees up a tourney win at Sandy Creek

After a warm up tournament last Friday, the Skyline varsity golf team came out swinging on Thursday and improved by 33 strokes to finish first at Sandy Creek Golf Course at a tournament hosted by Monroe.

Skyline finished first with a scorecard of 366. Airport (394) was second followed by Trenton (396), Bedford (407), Saline (414), Carlson (417), New Boston Huron (419), Pioneer (458), Monroe (500) and Tecumseh (571).

And with that, took first place as a team and individual first medalist at Sandy Creek GC, hosted by Monroe.

Adie Maki tied for first place as individual so the two girls had a sudden death playoff on hole No. 1. Maki won with a birdie to Airport’s double bogie. Excelled in a pressure situation!
