Golf: Skyline sets school record – again – for nine holes to improve to 11-0
The Skyline golf team apparently believes that records are made to broken.
After setting the school record for lowest score for nine holes just last week, the Eagles took to the links on Monday and fired a team score of 136 to break the “old” record by two strokes.
Skyline fired the 136 in a dual-meet win over Pinckney on the front nine at Lake Forest Golf Club. The Pirates fired a team score of 168.
The Eagles remain perfect on the season with an 11-0 record.
Two freshman led the way for a very consistent Skyline team. Ieuan Jones and Vibhav, both ninth graders, fired rounds of 33. Senior Vimal Alokam shot a 34, sophomore Mitchell Strickland shot a 36, junior Luke Richard carded a 37 and freshman Ethan Stange shot a 39. Just six strokes separated first from sixth for the Eagles.
Senior Brock Bowerman led Pinckney with a 38.
The Skyline JV shot 159 to Pinckney’s 215 and improved to 6-0.
