The Ann Arbor high school girls’ golf teams met on the links on Wednesday that featured sunny skies, a slight breeze and plenty of good golf and smiles. It also included a very strong Pioneer team and an extremely challenging course, Barton Hills.

“It wasn’t a great day on the course but happy that we won,” said Pioneer Coach Bill Lyle. “I was proud of how hard the girls fought through extremely tough conditions on this very challenging course.”

Pioneer fired a tournament-best 365 to land in first place. Skyline fired a 443 and finished ahead of both Huron and Greenhills (448) by just five strokes.
