Golf: Eagles land in second place at 18-hole tournament
The Skyline golf team teed up some impressive scores on Saturday at a tournament held at Hudson Mills in Dexter. The Eagles landed second overall with a team score of 352 – their second-best team score of the young season.
Skyline finished 16 strokes behind winner South Lyon and 32 strokes ahead of third-place finisher Livonia Stevenson in the 10-team tournament. Mercy was fourth (385), Dearborn Divine Child was fifth (388) and Lincoln sixth (422).
Adie Maki had the best individual score for the Eagles. The senior fired a 73, which included an eagle on the par-5 14th hole.
Senior Riya Patchava carded an 86; sophomore Reva Patchava shot a 92; and senior Lucy Stoy and junior Helen Kucinski both carded a 101.
The Eagles celebrated with some ice cream at Dexter Creamery (see main photo)
