Girls Cross Country: Pioneers second out of 22 teams at Jackson Invitationl
The Pioneer girls’ cross country team continued to keep the pace on a great season as the Pioneers finished second overall at the Jackson Invitational this past weekend at Ella Sharp Park in Jackson. The Pioneers crossed with 87 points.
East Grand Rapids ran away with the title, finishing with an amazing 38 points as they placed four runners in the top nine spots.
Salem was third with 111 points followed by Saline (139), Bedford (186) and Troy (205) in the 22-team field.
Pioneer had two top-10 finishes with sophomore Sarah Forsyth fourth (18:42.3) and sophomore Cookie Baugh 10th (19:15.3).
