EMU’s 2020 football schedule features five games inside “The Factory” at Rynearson Stadium

The Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics released the opponents on its 2020 football schedule today, Dec. 20.  Dates are set for the four non-conference games, but will be announced later for the eight Mid-American Conference contests.

EMU kicks off the year on the on the road at the University of Kentucky, Sept. 5, before returning home to battle Coastal Carolina University, Sept. 12. The Eagles will face another Southeastern Conference foe with a visit to the University of Missouri, Sept. 26. The non-conference schedule concludes Oct. 17 with the team’s fifth all-time trip to West Point, N.Y. to square off against Army.

Eastern Michigan will host four Mid-American Conference opponents: Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Northern Illinois, and Toledo. MAC road games will be at Ball State, Miami, Ohio, and Western Michigan.

The schedule will be highlighted by EMU hosting its 100th Annual Homecoming celebration, as well as, marking the first time since 2017 that all 12 opponents have been Football Bowl Subdivision opponents.

Eastern finished the 2019 regular season with a 6-6 record and will play in consecutive bowl games for the first time in the 128-year history of the program when it battles the University of Pittsburgh at the Quick Lane Bowl, Dec. 26, in Detroit.
