Cross Country: Eagles finish near the top at Saline Early Bird

The Skyline girls’ cross country team tied for second in the Saline Early Bird meet last Thursday, losing only to Saline.

The girls’ team saw all five of their varsity runners place in the top 21 spots: Natalie Kessler (4), Caroline Vance (7), Alllison Mayer (19), Leah White (20) and Ludia Cocciolone (21).

The boys’ team placed third in their race. Top 20 finishers for the Eagles were: Nico Fry (5), Luke Suliman (7), Chris VanLent (15) and Mason Jett (16)

Team shout-outs go to . . .

Sophomore Allie Wren, who ran a PR of 28:36, with 4:29 improvement over her Family 5K time.
Senior Leah White for her 20th place finish and PR of 20:45
Junior Mason Jett for his 16th place finish with a PR of 17:06.
Freshman Zeke Lafferty whose 20:59 was 2 1/2 minute improvement over his Family 5k time.
