Boys Basketball: Pioneer keeps on rolling, knock off Bedford 57-40

While Skyline was hosting Huron on one side of town on Friday night, Pioneer was doing what they’ve been doing a lot of lately – winning basketball games. The Pioneers jumped out to a 14-7 first-quarter lead and led 28-14 at halftime on their way to a 57-40 win over visiting Bedford in an SEC Red game.

Pioneer led 40-22 after three quarters.

Koebe Moore continues his strong season for the Pioneers. The senior guard knocked down 6 of 8 shots from the field and scored a team-high 17 points in the win. He also had three steals and three rebounds and made 5 of 7 free throws in the win.

Conor Easthope and Macail Fly each scored 10 points. Easthope (5 of 6 shooting) also had a team-high 10 rebounds and team-best six steals as he helped quarterback his team into the win column. Fly had three assists and made 5 of 7 shots.

Mac VanRenterghem had nine points and Rasheed Sampson had six points and five rebounds.

Pioneer hosts Monroe on Tuesday.
