Save the date: Flower Day returns May 29
Celebrate the spring season by attending the annual Artisan Market Flower Day event held on Sunday, May 29, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market, 315 Detroit St. You’ll find hanging baskets, perennials, native plants, vegetable and herb starts, cut flowers, flower-themed artisan goods and more from local Michigan vendors. Boochy Mama selling floral inspired kombucha and Maniacal mead selling honey wine. Additional activities include:
* A string quartet performance by re:classical (11 a.m.-12:15 p.m.)
* The Ann Arbor Office of Sustainability and Innovations will have information about the 10,000 Trees Initiative. Learn how you can receive free tree seedlings to plant on your property!

Virtual meeting regarding Fire Station 4 proposal and Scheffler Park

Registration open for annual golf championships
Sign up today for the men’s and senior golf championships at Leslie Park Golf Course. The men’s, July 15-17, is open to amateur golfers of all ages and is a 54-hole, stroke play competition that is flighted after 36 holes. $165/$155 for early entries received by June 26 (final deadline is July 11). The senior event is Aug. 20-21 and is a 36-hole, stroke play event, flighted after the first round. Open to those ages 50 and up (super seniors, ages 65 and up). $90/$85 for early entries received by July 31 (final deadline Aug. 16). Click here to register for both.

The Ann Arbor Farmers Market is open tomorrow for onsite sales 7 a.m.-3 p.m., at 315 Detroit Street. Don’t forget the Wednesday market is back 7 a.m.-3 p.m. each week. You will also find rhubarb, flowers and plants, vegetable and herb seedlings, leafy greens, root vegetables, microgreens, eggs, poultry, meat, cheese, bread, baked goods, maple syrup, beverages, prepared food, artisan products and more! Natural Area Preservation stewardship workdays
NAP continues to monitor recommendations from health officials, volunteers registered for events will be notified in advance of any changes to the workday. Please wear long pants and closed-toed shoes, and bring a water bottle and gardening gloves if you have them. All minors should be accompanied by a guardian. Tools and know-how provided.
