Arbor Hospice Announces Retirement of Judy Vindici, Welcomes Peggy Cole

ANN ARBOR – Arbor Hospice recently announced that Judy Vindici will retire from her role as director of philanthropy at the end of December 2021.

Vindici joined Arbor Hospice as director of philanthropy in March 2016. While a personal end-of-life experience was the catalyst for Vindici’s support of Arbor Hospice’s mission, she joined the organization at a critical time.

During her tenure, Vindici was a tireless advocate for The Residence of Arbor Hospice in Saline, Michigan, leading the last leg of the successful capital campaign that funded the renovation of the in-patient facility. Her commitment to raise funds for The Residence helped give patients and their families access to an invaluable resource and the only one of its kind in the community. Vindici also was instrumental in bridging donor relationships during the affiliation of Arbor Hospice and Hospice of Michigan. She continued to build and deepen relationships with long-time Arbor Hospice donors through the new partnership, assuring the not-for-profit’s ability to serve the needs of the community. She earned her M.B.A. from Rutgers University.

Arbor Hospice welcomes Peggy Cole, who is stepping into Vindici’s former role as director of philanthropy. She is responsible for board and donor relations, major gift solicitations, and overall management of Arbor Hospice’s philanthropic efforts.

Peggy Cole

Cole is an accomplished fundraiser who brings knowledge of the local philanthropic community. She joins Arbor Hospice from Packard Health. In her previous position, Cole helped cultivate a vast donor network, many of whom are also supporters of Arbor Hospice. She received her master’s degree from The University of Chicago and her bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University.

“The end of the year will be bittersweet as we say farewell to Judy, as she has been an integral part of our organization for more than five years,” said Marcie Hillary, senior vice president for Arbor Hospice. “We are so fortunate that Judy chose Arbor Hospice to be the crowning achievement in her long career as a fundraiser. We wish her well as she embarks upon the pleasures of retirement, as we look forward to our own future with Peggy as Arbor Hospice’s new director of philanthropy.”
