Ann Arbor Visual Arts Non-Profit, the Ann Arbor Art Center (A2AC), Launches $72k Community Fundraising Campaign

ANN ARBOR – In response to an ever-growing demand for art activities, in 2017, the A2AC acquired an adjacent building and launched a $5.2M Capital Expansion Campaign to own, combine, and fully renovate both buildings.

Providing more studio space for events, classes, and exhibitions enables the A2AC to meet the growing student demand for art education, increase opportunities for community partnerships, and participate in more creative collaborations.

With a June 2022 finish line in sight, the A2AC is eager to prepare the new classrooms for students this summer. Their goal is to raise $72,166 by April 15, 2022, to fully equip eight art education studios (three new, including a second ceramics studio.) Fully tax-deductible, donations will repurpose existing or purchase new equipment. Items needed include pottery wheels, drying racks, shelving, aprons, easels, drawing benches, tables, chairs, stools, and more.

“Reunited, these two historic downtown buildings, masterfully designed and carefully renovated, will host state-of-the-art amenities. Amenities that will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of 60,000+ students, artists, staff, and art enthusiasts who enjoy the A2AC each year,” says Marie Klopf, President/CEO. The A2AC is grateful for all the community support that we have received over these past five years and look forward to your help crossing the finish line.
