AAPS Reimagine Learning Plan 2020-21 and Weekly Updates from Superintendent Swift
The initial proposed 2020-21 AAPS Reimagine Learning Plan was shared with the Board of Education in public session and with our community last week via email. We will continue to refine this plan as we move through August and prepare for the start of our school year. To clarify, though we are beginning the year on a virtual status, the plan is to begin to transition students into in-person instruction, grade by grade, as soon as safely possible. Always, students and parents will have choices and options for their learning.
Based on your input and feedback, we will continue to refine the plan with additional details over the coming six weeks prior to the start of school, and you will soon hear more about upcoming engagement opportunities. Specifically, we are working diligently, both internally and with community partners, to extend virtual and face-to-face support groups for students who require additional support to engage and families who are most at-risk within a virtual school environment. We will continue to expand our academic, extracurricular and enrichment opportunities to ensure engagement, learning and growth this school year for all our AAPS students.
To help keep the community updated, I will be sharing weekly updates via email and through videos. Please watch this week’s update video where I respond to some of the most common questions received so far.
