AAFF Announces Next Film in Online Monthly Screening Series
ANN ARBOR — The Ann Arbor Film Festival (AAFF) is thrilled to feature Camp on the Wind’s Road by Nataliya Kharlamova as the newest film in the AAFF PRESENTS monthly online screening series in partnership with The Michigan Theater. For the second year in a row, each month, AAFF shares selected feature films that were shown during the most recent festival. The new film is now available for rental on The Michigan Theater’s website through Aug. 4. The film can be rented for $4.99 and is free of charge for AAFF members as well as MTF Gold Card members. The film must be viewed within 30 days of purchase and it must be finished within 48 hours of starting.
Camp on the Wind’s Road by Nataliya Kharlamova tells the story of Belekmma who, following the death of her father, lodges herself in her sheepherder’s encampment while she awaits the moment she will see her father’s face even if it is just in her dreams. Belekmma awaits this moment up to the day when, according to the Tuvan tradition, the spirit of the deceased would be fed and given ultimate send-off.
A Russian native, Kharlamova is a two-time documentarian with an extensive photography portfolio. Kharlamova studied at the Mariana Razbezhkina and Mikhail School of Documentary Film and Theatre and released Camp on the Wind’s Road in 2018 followed by PASTORALE in 2019.
The next film, SERPENTARIUS by Carlos Conceição, will be released on August 5 for viewing.
