Tennis: Skyline keeps climbing with win over Saline

That good start we talked about early in the week continued on Thursday for the Skyline boys’ tennis team. The Eagles knocked off an always strong Saline team 6-2 as coach Eric Sturgis continues to juggle the lineup – with great results.

Anthony Van Oyen continued his strong efforts at the top the singles lineup. He added another win at one singles to improve to 9-4 on the season – and he’s played some pretty tough competition.

Arya Joshi gave Skyline a victory at two singles.

The Eagles swept the doubles events, showing off their great depth.

Nikhil Gunaratnam and Alex Veridyan won at one doubles. At two doubles, Michael Zhou and Sam Begosso were victorious. Ethan Sung and Andrew Cooke won at three doubles and Aadith Kumar and Marco Geglio won at four doubles.

The Eagles will face Saline again on Saturday as they participate in the Saline Quad.
