Girls Cross Country: Pioneers run away with A2 Coaching Legends Classic

The Pioneer girls’ cross country team placed two runners in the top three and four in the top 10 as the Pioneers ran away with the title at the annual A2 Run Co. Coaching Legends Classic at Huron Meadows on Saturday.

Pioneer finished with an amazing 35 points to take first overall in the 15-team event. Northville was a distant second with 92 points followed by Brighton (117), Plymouth (129) and Saline (132).

Senior Zofia Dudek led the way for the Pioneers. She crossed the finish line with a winning time of 17:26.0. Birmingham Seaholm’s Audrey DaDamio was second in 17:54.5.

Pioneer sophomore Sarah Forsyth ran third with a time of 18:15.5.

Two more sophomores, Cookie Baugh (ninth, 19:15.1) and Charlotte Batra (10^th, 19:15.4) finished in the top 10 for the Pioneers.

Senior Anna Vogel was 12^th in 19:20.7.
