Football: Cardinals fly up to No. 5 in latest NAIA poll
The Concordia football team, off to a 3-0 start this season, was ranked fifth in the lastest NAIA football coaches’ preseason top 25 poll released earlier this week.
The Cardinals were ranked 6th in the preseason and first poll of the 2019 season, but after a 3-0 start, the Cardinals have received a program high 329 votes. This is the highest ranking for the Cardinals as well as the first time in the top five.
This now marks 22 consecutive polls that that the Cardinals have been ranked and 24 total in program history.
Fellow MSFA members to receive recognition include the Cardinals next four opponents; Saint Xavier (9), Siena Heights (20), Saint Francis (IN) (3), and Marian (6).
