The Ark to host Ukraine Relief Benefit Ann Arbor (URBAA) fundraising concert April 19

The Ukraine Relief Benefit Ann Arbor (URBAA) is a fundraising concert with a goal of raising a $10,000 donation for an organization providing direct humanitarian aid to Ukrainian refugees from brutal Russian aggression. The charity chosen is World Central Kitchen. It has established nearly 350 meal-distribution sites in border host countries to provide meals to incoming Ukrainian refugees; it also distributes food where direly needed anywhere around the globe. The brand new WCK facility in Przemyśl, Poland has the capacity to provide 100,000 meals per day.

Local musicians already committed to the event, which takes place on Tuesday, April 19 at 7:30pm at The Ark, are the renowned and very beloved Madcat Ruth and the C.A.R.Ma Quartet, Jive Colossus, Jerry Mack and The Terraplanes, The Switchbacks, The Judith Banker Trio and the Andy Adamson Quintet. More may be added.

General admission tickets for this fundraiser are $20 and go on sale Friday, March 25 at 10am. Visit theark.org for ticket link and for any updates to the lineup as information becomes available.
