“Saving Energy” Sticker Design Contest Winners Announced
To celebrate the first anniversary of the city’s plan to achieve a just transition to community-wide carbon neutrality, known as A2ZERO, the City of Ann Arbor Office of Sustainability and Innovations (OSI) hosted a “Saving Energy” design contest. Congratulations to the winners of the first “Saving Energy” sticker design contest:
- Siddhi Venkatesh – Abbott Elementary School
- Claire Wang – Clague Middle School
- Linda Yang – Pioneer High School
The design contest focused on enhancing community awareness about the importance of saving energy and the steps that can be taken to reduce energy usage while improving health and comfort.
Public voting for the “Saving Energy” Sticker Design Contest was Aug. 6–12. More than 500 community members voted to decide the winners in each of the three grade-level based categories. Each of the winners will receive a $200 cash prize and have their design featured at future A2ZERO community events, turned into a sticker and/or badge, and featured during the 2022 Ann Arbor District Library Summer Game.
