Arbor Hospice to Host Fly and Remember – hosted in partnership with GrieveWell and Ele’s Place

ANN ARBOR – Arbor Hospice is partnering with GrieveWell and Ele’s Place to hold the 2021 Fly and Remember event at noon on Saturday, June 26 via Zoom.

The virtual memorial service offers individuals and families the chance to reflect on their relationship with a loved one, regardless of how recent their loss might be, by personalizing and flying a kite in their honor. Fly and Remember will also feature readings from special guests, along with opportunities to share memories, see other participants’ kites and connect with the community.

Participants are encouraged to build and decorate a kite before joining the virtual ceremony on Zoom. Attendees may bring their own kite or choose to use one that will be provided by Arbor Hospice. Kite-making materials will be provided at no cost. Photos and videos of families flying their kites can be shared to the GrieveWell Facebook, Instagram, Google or Twitter pages. Those who post will earn a special prize from GrieveWell.

All families who have experienced the loss of a loved one are welcome, regardless of whether their loved one received care from Arbor Hospice.

Those interested in virtually attending the 2021 Fly and Remember virtual event can RSVP with Christy Miller at christymiller@grievewell.com or 734-975-0238. Once registered, a Zoom link and instructions for kite pick-up will be provided.
