The Huron Players to present ‘Annie Jr.’ May 20-23

The musical “Annie Jr.” is nothing if not optimistic.

And that’s just how the Huron Players are feeling about their upcoming production to be live-streamed May 20-23.

“We haven’t seen it, but I think it’s going to turn out great because we have amazing singers and amazing actors,” said freshman fGiselle Gomez Caballero, one of a cast of 11, noting that the musical is now in the editing process.

Huron Players Advisor Claire Federhofer said she feels blessed to work with such dedicated, passionate, and hard-working students.

“This has been a challenging and at times lonely project for them,” says Federhofer, who teaches English at Huron. “All our previous shows were either streamed directly from the Zoom room or filmed together. With this project, each student worked individually to create their performance and then re-recorded and made adjustments as we moved through the weeks of recording. This quadrupled the time that was spent online and many of them worked late into the evening. The most important outcome of this project was that we got to build community together despite the challenges that we faced being virtual.”

Show dates are 20th, 21st and 22nd May at 7pm and 23rd at 2pm. Tickets are available HERE
