Join the first A2 Park Walk at Hansen Nature Area tomorrow

Featured walk of the week
There is an abundance of research on why walking in nature is good for our brains, bodies and emotional well-being. Ann Arbor Parks & Recreation is inviting you to get outside and take a walk in nature. You can explore the featured walks on your own or attend a hosted walk. No registration is necessary. Attend any hosted walk to pick up your walk challenge card for tracking and setting your walking goals. Earn a Visit Every Park knapsack after three walks! Be sure to tag us in your pictures using #a2parkwalks

Saturday, Feb. 6, 10-11 a.m. at Hansen Nature Area The kick off walk event is tomorrow at Hansen Nature Area. Hosted by Natural Area Preservation staff, this walk features a short ½ mile loop hike through a wooded area. Don’t let the colder temperatures keep you from enjoying a short walk in nature.

Sunday, Feb. 14, 1-2 p.m. at Olson Park Join staff on Valentine’s Day for a park walk that offers it all. With a paved pathway around the pond and plenty of nature trails for more variety in distance and adventure, we invite you to explore this park. This featured walk is hosted by Ann Arbor Senior Center staff who will welcome you and help you get started discovering these trails.

We welcome you to complete a survey to provide feedback after each walk. To view/download (see attachment) a map and information about the first walk at Hansen Nature Area and other February walks, visit a2gov.org/A2Parkwalks. Please remember to wear a mask and stay 6 feet apart from others outside your household.
