Calling all Artists: Westside Art Hop is Sunday, Oct. 6
It’s that time of year – no, we don’t mean football.
The annual and extremely popular Art Hop is back! The event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6.
Art Hop is a cross between an art walk and an art fair, happening in Ann Arbor’s lovely historic Westside neighborhood. Many volunteer local hosts, over 50 exhibiting artists, and of course, art-loving visitors and buyers.
Organizers are looking for artists to participate.
The Art Hop’s center of gravity is the Eberwhite-Bach area. Over 60 artists displayed their work in May; how many the event can accommodate depends upon how many kind neighbors will host venues between First Street and Soule Blvd, south of West Liberty.
Most of the artists will be on porches, in garages, or – if you have your own tent – in a back yard or a driveway. The event is ensconced in the neighborhood, and they depend on the generosity and goodwill of neighbors to host the artists.
Art Hop is truly one of the great local events that people love about Ann Arbor.
