Cross Country: Skyline girls win Northville Invite; boys’ team runs second
The Skyline girls’ cross country team crossed the finish line in first place in the junior-senior race at last Tuesday’s Mustang Invitational in Northville. The Eagles landed first with an impressive 103 points, beating out Livonia Churchill (111) and Canton (146) for the top spot.
Northville was fourth (189), Berkley fifth (193) and Farmington Hills Mercy sixth (202).
Junior Laura O’Brien led the Eagles with a fourth-place finish with a time of 20:32. Junior Catrin Koselka was 12th (21:50) and senior Arielle Melong was 24th (23:03).

Boys Race
The Skyline boys’ cross country team ran a close second
at the Mustang Invitational in Northville. The Eagles landed with an impressive
82 points, trailing only Northville (65 points).
Livonia Stevenson was third with 95 followed by Royal Oak (114), Dearborn
Divine Child (124), Canton (160) and Livonia Franklin (209) in the 19-team
tournament.
The seniors led the way for the Eagles.
Thomas Young was third overall in 16:41 followed by Daniel Evans (ninth, 17:20), Isaac Darragh (11th, 17:37), Sam Gardner (31st, 18:36) and Ira Bennett (32nd, 18:39).
